WorkTrack Privacy Policy
Developer: MIIA Forge
Privacy contact: miiaforge.dev@gmail.com
Application: WorkTrack (Android package: com.miiaforge.worktrack)
1. Scope and overview
WorkTrack helps you record working time, earnings, vacation, sick leave, holidays and notes, and view related statistics. No WorkTrack account is required for these core functions. Your work records and settings are primarily stored on your device. Optional Google Drive backup uses your Google account; purchases and updates use Google Play.
WorkTrack displays Google AdMob banner advertisements unless an eligible Remove Ads purchase is confirmed. Advertising, consent management, update configuration and other online functions involve the third parties described below. Local storage does not mean that the application or its SDKs never communicate with online services.
MIIA Forge does not operate a server that receives your work records, rates, earnings, notes, custom holidays or background photographs. Those contents are not supplied by WorkTrack to advertising services. If you email us, we receive the information you choose to include so that we can respond to your enquiry. Please do not send unnecessary financial or other sensitive information.
2. Work records, settings and selected files
WorkTrack processes dates, working hours, rates, salary settings, work segments, coefficients, bonuses, vacation and sick-leave entries, goals, notes and custom holidays that you enter. It uses these records to perform calculations and present the features you request. It also stores preferences such as language, currency, interface, calendar colours, holiday country, reminders and backup settings.
Records are stored in the application's internal database, and settings in application storage. When you choose a background image, WorkTrack stores a processed local copy. Android's photo and document pickers provide access to selected files; WorkTrack does not request unrestricted access to your photo library or device storage.
WorkTrack does not request GPS or other Android location permissions. Calendar-country choices come from locale and application settings, not GPS. Separately, Google's advertising services may estimate approximate location from an IP address as explained in section 5.
3. Local retention and Android system backup
Local records remain until you delete them, replace them during restoration, clear application data or uninstall the application. Settings and cached technical data are retained as needed for the corresponding features. Copies that have already been backed up or exported are not deleted by deleting the local originals.
Android system backup and device transfer are enabled for eligible application data, subject to Android, device and account settings. This operating-system mechanism is separate from WorkTrack's Google Drive backup. WorkTrack's backup rules exclude the financial/settings DataStore file, work_journal_settings.preferences_pb, from Android cloud backup and device transfer. Other eligible data, such as database records, may still be included. Processed background images are stored in Android's no-backup directory, but supported images may be included in a WorkTrack backup.
Manage Android system backup through the applicable device and account controls. MIIA Forge does not receive a copy of Android system backups.
4. Optional Google Drive backup, export and restoration
When you connect Google Drive backup, WorkTrack uses Google account selection and authorization. It requests only the Drive application-data scope, https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.appdata, for its Drive integration. This permits creating, listing, downloading/restoring and deleting WorkTrack backups in the hidden appDataFolder area. It does not grant access to your ordinary Drive documents or folders.
WorkTrack keeps the selected backup account identifier locally to reconnect and run authorized backup operations. Access tokens are held in memory for authorized requests. Google handles account authentication and authorization. You can choose manual backup or enable scheduled automatic backup; automatic backup can transfer supported application data in the background according to your settings. Disabling automatic backup stops future scheduled backups, but does not delete existing copies or revoke the Google permission by itself.
Backup archives can contain work records, financial settings, hours, rates, earnings-related records, notes, goals, bonuses, custom holidays, preferences and supported background images needed to restore the application. They travel directly between your device and your Google Drive account via Google services. MIIA Forge does not receive or store a separate server copy. Cloud connection state is not a transferable authorization, and access tokens are not included in WorkTrack backups.
Use WorkTrack's Google Drive backup list to manage or delete its backup files. You may also manage the application's hidden Drive data through Drive's app-management controls where available, and revoke access in your Google account's third-party connections. Revoking access or disabling backup does not necessarily delete stored backups. Google controls storage and retention within its services.
You may also create local backups, export CSV/XLSX data and share files using Android's document picker and Sharesheet. Exports can contain records, calculated financial information and notes for the selected scope. The receiving app or storage service is the one you select. Temporary sharing files may remain in the application cache. Restoration loads the selected backup and replaces the applicable local data after confirmation.
WorkTrack backup and export files are not additionally encrypted by WorkTrack. Protect these files and the accounts or storage destinations you select. Deleting local data does not delete external backups or exports; manage those copies separately.
5. Google AdMob banner advertising
WorkTrack uses Google Mobile Ads SDK to display banner ads. Depending on the ad configuration, available permissions and your privacy choices, Google and its advertising services may process IP addresses (including an approximate location inferred from IP), device/account identifiers such as the Android advertising ID when permitted, app/ad interactions, and diagnostic and performance information. These support advertising delivery and measurement, security and fraud prevention.
This processing occurs through Google's services; it does not mean MIIA Forge independently receives or stores every such identifier or technical record. Advertising is separate from your locally entered hours, salary, notes and other work records. Google determines retention for data it processes under its policies and applicable service arrangements.
6. Advertising consent and Privacy Options
WorkTrack uses Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to obtain and manage advertising privacy choices where required. It requests current consent information and displays the required consent form when applicable. Ad requests are gated by UMP's permission to request ads. Your choices affect permitted data processing and ad personalization; declining personalization does not necessarily remove all ads or all technical processing needed for allowed ads.
When UMP requires a Privacy Options entry point, WorkTrack makes advertising privacy settings available in Settings. Use it to review or change the choices offered, including withdrawing consent where that option applies. Availability and the form shown depend on Google's consent configuration and applicable requirements. Android/Google advertising-ID controls also let you reset or delete the advertising ID where supported.
7. Google Play purchase: Remove Ads
WorkTrack offers a one-time, non-consumable Remove Ads purchase (product ID: remove_ads). It is not a subscription. Google Play handles the payment. WorkTrack and MIIA Forge do not receive or store your payment-card details.
The application receives the product and purchase information needed to determine the purchase status and entitlement, including a purchase token and acknowledgement status, and acknowledges eligible purchases with Google Play. It queries Google Play to restore or refresh that entitlement. It does not operate a separate MIIA Forge purchase database or put the entitlement into WorkTrack backups.
After a confirmed purchase grants the Remove Ads entitlement, WorkTrack disables its advertising banners. Pending purchases do not grant the entitlement until confirmed. Removing banners does not disable unrelated functions such as Google Drive backup, Google Play purchase checks or update checks. Google Play's policies govern payment records, purchase management and refunds.
8. Firebase Remote Config and Google Play updates
WorkTrack uses Firebase Remote Config to retrieve configuration governing whether an update message should be offered and its target application version. The Remote Config service uses Firebase installation identifiers and technical app/device request information to return configuration. These requests are not uploads of your work records or financial entries. Configuration may be cached locally. Firebase's privacy and retention practices apply to data processed by that service.
WorkTrack does not integrate the Firebase Analytics SDK, Firebase Crashlytics or Firebase Cloud Messaging. Firebase Remote Config and its supporting components are distinct from those products. Advertising measurement by Google Mobile Ads, described above, is separate from Firebase Analytics.
Google Play's flexible In-App Updates feature checks update availability and manages downloads and installation through Google Play. Google processes the technical and store information needed for those operations under its policies. WorkTrack does not send your work records with update checks.
9. Official holidays and local notifications
Official public holidays come from the Nager.Holidays HTTPS API at nagerholidays.com. Requests contain the selected country code, year and ordinary technical connection information, including the public-facing IP address received by the provider. They do not include your work records, earnings, notes, custom holiday titles or background images. Responses are cached locally. The provider controls its technical logs and retention.
The official holiday calendar is enabled by default and may make automatic requests, including in the background for reminders. You can disable it in holiday settings. Holiday country is a calendar preference and does not identify your physical location.
Reminders use Android WorkManager and local Android notifications, not Firebase Cloud Messaging. Notification permission is requested on supported Android versions. Reminder content, such as holiday or note titles, may appear on your lock screen depending on your device settings. You can control reminders in WorkTrack and notification visibility in Android.
10. Third-party services and official information
The following services have their own policies and terms for information they process:
- Google Privacy Policy — Google services, including account and device information.
- Google advertising privacy information and AdMob SDK data disclosures — Google Mobile Ads/AdMob.
- Google UMP privacy choices — consent and Privacy Options.
- Google Play Terms of Service and Google Play services information — Play purchases, updates and supporting Google Play services; the Google Privacy Policy also applies.
- Google Drive Terms of Service and Drive application-data information — optional cloud backups; see also the Google Privacy Policy.
- Privacy and security in Firebase — Remote Config and Firebase installations.
- Nager.Holidays — the external official-holiday service.
Opening a web policy or an external link makes a request to that site's hosting service. Its handling of connection data is governed by its own practices. MIIA Forge does not set Google's or the holiday provider's retention periods.
11. Security
WorkTrack uses Android internal application storage, and connections to the supported online services use HTTPS/TLS. Google services apply their own security controls and policies. Exported archives are not protected by additional WorkTrack encryption. No storage or transmission method can guarantee absolute security. Protect your device, Google account and backup/export files, and share only with destinations you trust.
12. Your choices and data-protection rights
You can edit or delete work records and notes in WorkTrack, use its Delete all data function for local application data, or clear application storage in Android. External backups and exports must be deleted separately. A Google Play purchase is managed by Google Play and is not erased or cancelled by deleting local records.
You can review advertising choices through Privacy Options when available, manage your advertising ID in Android/Google settings, disable automatic Drive backups, delete WorkTrack backups, revoke Google authorization, choose whether to export files, and adjust holiday requests and reminders through the controls described above.
Where applicable law provides them, you may have rights to access, correct, erase or port personal data, restrict or object to processing, withdraw consent, and complain to a data-protection authority. Contact miiaforge.dev@gmail.com with privacy questions about WorkTrack. MIIA Forge does not hold a server copy of your local work database to retrieve or delete. Requests relating to information held by Google may also need to be made using Google's account/privacy controls or to Google directly. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing lawfully carried out before withdrawal.
13. Children and privacy enquiries
WorkTrack does not ask you to enter your age or date of birth. If you are a parent or guardian and have concerns about a child's information in connection with WorkTrack, contact miiaforge.dev@gmail.com. We will review the concern and explain the available local-data and third-party privacy controls. This policy does not set or change the application's Google Play age rating or target-audience declaration.
14. Changes and contact
We may update this policy when WorkTrack's functionality or data-processing practices change. The date above identifies this revision. This web policy is published at https://miiaforge.pl/privacy/.
